Photos in FaceBook

Sunday, October 7th, 2007

Hiya all…

As some of y’all know, we’re working on a new LiveWire! website with all the works! (And yes, we’re still hoping some of you with web skills and spare time are gonna jump onboard the reconstruction team wagon!)

In the meantime, those of you who have been waiting and wondering what’s happened to all those photos taken with all those cameras at LiveWire! events - do go to the LiveWire! FaceBook Group page for 4 shots by Joseph at ChargeUp! KK to start off with.

And those of you who have been clicking your shutter buttons at LiveWire! gatherings or at LiveWire! people - do start dropping off some those shots there too! =)

Appreciate your media leaders and crews

Thursday, June 14th, 2007

How often do you ever sms or say thank you to someone who has put in all their time in media ministry ? Its good habit to always do that. Everyone wants to be appreciated and not taken advantage of.

Its mid-year now. Have you appreciated the ones in your media ministry ? What about the Media/Worship Pastor ? Also, not forgetting the various key people in LiveWire, send your appreciation to them too.

You can appreciate everyone by sending them an ecard, sms or give them a certificate of appreciation from the church.

Free Stuff

Thursday, May 10th, 2007

Hey who doesn’t want it? Being typically Malaysian and super kiasu (almost as kiasu as the Singaporeans), we’d like to get things for free. So here are a few sites that you can go to get some pretty cool free stuff: (some of them have certain restrictions)

1. - A website for independent filmmakers. Download some free royalty free music or indie filmmaker’s tools like paperwork (call sheet formats, script formats, storyboards etc) or video/film tools. Download also some free articles on filmmaking.

2. Free FCP Plugins - Not all are absolutely free, some are demos only. The annoying thing about them is that you can only preview the effect, but they have a watermark over the video once you use it. Anyhow, do download the cool ones like Too Much Too Soon. You can find out how to install it on your mac on the sites.

3. Sound Effects - Some standard sound effects like crowd sounds, vehicle sounds etc…

4. More Sound Effects - 1980 of them!!

Ok go have fun, kids!

Look for your Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, Sigma, Tamron, or Tokina lens, print out the corresponding lens hood, fold it up, and fix it on. You can fold them back to carry around.

All Charged Up for 2007!

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

All those months of planning finally came to its peak on the 9-11th of March at the Charge Up! 2007 Conference. Over 70 people from all over the Klang Valley, Penang, Sabah and Sarawak turned up at Life College to listen to main speakers Pastor Ed and Pastor Cat, as well as Louis Pang. Pastor Ed and Cat’s messages were heart felt and challenged us all as God’s media servants to do what really counts for Him. Do we glorify God in all that we do, seeing that we can bring a difference to the world out there? Or are we merely photographers, snapping photos for fun, but never seeing a bigger picture - one that includes God.

Louis Pang not only shared tips on photography, he shared his life. The amazing thing about it all was how he started, through those humble beginnings and where God has brought him now. It goes to show, that if you put God first in all you do, He will give you the desires of your heart.

Matthew 6:33
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

I am blessed to see many lives being touched through this conference, from as young as 15 to those over 50! People holding point-and-shoot cameras to those having DSLRs with multiple lenses, some as long as my forearm. You’re never too old to learn. This year, we’re going to have our first Charge Up! Borneo! in August. The theme will be on videography skills. Keep an eye out for that, but for now, do write comments about the recent Charge Up! Conference. It will be wonderful to hear your testimony and how God has spoken to you through this Conference. You can type out your testimony as a comment to this article. God bless and keep honing those skills!
