In this age of instant gratification, many people jump straight into singing or playing what they hear on their CDs… or should we say YouTube and MP3s! Little thought is given to detail, and perhaps even less consideration goes into why we create music. This gets amplified in a band setting and musicality just gets thrown out the window.
Day One – Thursday (11 April 2013)
Day 1 brings us all back to basics to talk about tone, solid rhythm, sound and the importance of detail.
We will also talk about team work in a band and how important it is for everyone to be aware of what's happening in the band and how to build musical conversation through a jam session that emphasizes on listening to each other.
